Exchange Program on a Wave in Arizona

By admin • Apr 15th, 2009 • Category: Exchange Program Destination

Exchange program can mean so many different things in every individual. But in my case, I was very interested to visit Arizona not only of the cognitive development and cultural immersion but also of one place that I want to trod on.

The Wave of Arizona and Utah. Pictures of this place had enthralled me since I was six and now that I am old enough and has a chance to choose where to go for the exchange program then it is the time to fulfill one fascination.

I was just lucky enough to meet Brent, an archaeology student in our university and is also fascinated with the wave. It was the help of Brent’s family that we got hold of a pass for a scheduled walk on the path.

The flowers seem to be agreeable with our plan as they bloom with gay brilliance as we walk to the office of Bureau of Land Management. The wave is a very protected land in between Arizona and Utah that only 20 persons per day are allowed to experience a walk. Some even did not find the way during their visit and tried another visit the next month.

Well, to be on the safer side our trip will be accompanied by Brent’s relative so that we will be heading on the right direction. The trip’s schedule is just also on the right time with my exchange program.

As the school start, I went with the daily routines with going to school plus with Brent’s family on my toes always worrying if I will be alright. I couldn’t blame parents though. The day of our schedule for going to the The Wave is coming nearer and I am getting excited everyday.

The Wave is beyond words. If the pictures took your breath away: the entire place will blow for brains way. It was so fantastic and beautiful. Indeed God’s creation. We were given instructions as we start our trek. All of us are so awed that we took care of our every steps making sure that we are not destroying the soft sandstones as we walked on.
