Rotary Club Exchange Program
By admin • May 29th, 2009 • Category: Exchange Program DestinationApplication for exchange program in the Rotary club is not as simple as ABC. The students will have to prepare and submit writings with the next 10 to 12 months if ever they were approved. One good thing is that they are given seminars on the culture of their destination to avoid culture shock.
Culture shock is one reason why students just go home without finishing their scheduled program. Thus, to prepare students from this they have to undergo culture shock seminars and education and several months of preparation given by the Rotary club.
The Rotary Club Exchange Program sent the largest number of students in 82 countries worldwide. The family hosts and rotary club spend for most of the program though the families of these students will shoulder the airfare expenses.
The families of these students know that exchange program offers a very valuable experience for their children. And that students who participated with these exchange program less likely to fail to solve daily problems in college.
One unique and interesting destination that rotary club exchange students go to is Le Havre in France. It is a city located in the North West part of the region France in the right side bank of Seine River.
Students going to Le Havre is very much lucky for he will not only gain an experience that will encourage and spur him to succeed but also visit the museums and churches that are part of Le Havre History plus the many places of attractions in the place.
As they set foot on this historical city of France, students surely visited the Shipowner home, Japanese Garden, the former tribunal, Square St. Roch, the Volcan, Musee des Beaux-Arts, Musee du Vieux Havre, the Cathedral, Church of St. Michael, St. vincent, St. Anne, St. Marie and many other churches located here.
Le Havre City is bombed during the Second World War. Thus seeing anything that remains of the war is already seeing something that resist history’s destiny.
