The most popular exchange program is for high school student and teacher. But due to the call for every individual to gain experience for self development, everybody even the clergy go for international and foreign exchange program.

Not does only Catholic clergy but also the clergies of the Lutheran church and many religious groups encourage the participation for exchange of ideas and so that these clergy can go back to their home country and share what they had learned for the exposure to another community to their home community. Like the student exchange program it needs a back up or support of an institution for the switch and trade to take place.

The exchange program for clergy and priest does not only involve a total immersion of the participants into the new church culture and community but it can also involve the further schooling and studies.

It was known that we lack priest to serve every religious community; the ratio between priests per individual church goer is so high. So the interchange of clergy is a benefit for both parishes. Study abroad programs can be sponsored by a committee or a church body from abroad.

United States is the common sponsor for such exchange international. They encourage the priest to join them in their quest to spread the Gospel. The interchange of priest is a necessary part of molding their clergy.

In Europe of course, Rome top the list with Vatican as the seat of Holy See. Every priest aspires to come and be part of the clergy of the Vatican even for a few months.

Argentina culture, architecture, history and tourist destinations are just bonuses for an exchange priest. Europe is mixture of many different cultures from Rome to Spain.
