An exchange program is a program that typically exchanges a student or either a person between two cultures. Several exchange programs is a student exchange program wherein student is going to stay in another country for somewhat a period of time, it’s often 6-10 months. The student exchange program became popular for its main goal is to increase the student’s tolerance and culture awareness to different countries. The student will go to live in a host family who are certainly unpaid volunteers and somewhat a traditional family, it’s either a couple not bless with a children or a single parent.

There is certain requirement to qualify for an exchange student program. The students must be 18 years old below but there are some organizations still allow exceptions to students running 19 years old after their departure to a certain country. The student must have at least a grade of 2.75GPA for the semester or academic year and for summer programs it must be at least 2.5 GPA. The student also should meet some country’s they choose for the additional requirements. The Foreign language is not really a must. Student of Two Worlds united must be flexible, curious, can adapt to new situations and must be motivated. Student also must possess and excellent of oral communication skills and excellent in written. It must be a two-year high school level or equivalent level to the country’s you choose and must pass for the personal interview.

Your social life abroad will typically change for you’ll given the opportunity to experience the different social culture by celebrating their festivals, holidays and some community events. This would make the students see the world beyond his/her expectation and easily adapt the culture through understanding, make friends to other country that is often for a lifetime and the student is more competitive for his/her college application and future career.
